Frequently Asked Questions
The section will deal with some of the frequently asked questions sent to us and hopefully speed up the process of booking a skydive with us. If there's a question you have that's not answered here, please email us and we'll try to help you.
Tandem Skydive
Q. Can I take my own camera (GoPro, mobile phone, etc) with me on the skydive?
A. No. It's against our aviation and skydiving regulations. If you want a film of the event, we will arrange a freefall cameraman for you.
Q. Can we share a cameraman between two people?
A. No. Each cameraman will follow you from kitting up to landing and can't be in two places at once!
Q. If I'm exactly on or just over the maximum weight, can I make a Tandem Skydive?
A. The maximum weight we permit is 95.4Kg (15 Stones) and this is clothed. If you're close to this weight, we will ask you to step on some scales and will reserve the right to refuse to take you if you are overweight. This also applies to a high BMI or you are incapable of raising your legs high enough for landing. The training Instructor will make this assessment of your capability and let you know if he or she thinks there's a problem.
Q. Can I specify the time I want to make the skydive?
A. To some extent you can but we will give you joining instruction which includes an arrival time. Once you're trained and ready, you can request an early or later lift and we will try to accommodate we but cannot make any firm assurance or promises. If you are excessively late without due notice or warning, we will reserve the right to cancel you skydive and you will lose your deposit.
Language
Q. Do I have need to be proficient regarding spoken English to skydive at CPC?
A. We require a basic knowledge of the English language but we do have Cypriot Instructors & Greek speaking staff who will be able to help if required. If the Instructor believes you have not understood the brief sufficiently because of a difficulty in understanding, we will always try to help; we will also reserve the right to cancel your skydive if we still feel safety has been compromised because of a lack of understanding.
